The foundation of Organest® was laid by the two Ahirekar brothers Mr Pradeep and Mr Deepak . Coming from a farmer’s background, Mr Pradeep completed his graduation in Commerce from the Bombay University in the year 1991 while Mr Deepak successfully achieved his degree in the field of Science in the year 1994. After completing their education, they together started a Transportation business in South Mumbai. Soon they became the owner of Hindustan petroleum outlet near NH4. Handling their huge business, they also maintained farming as their hobby. They continued cultivating organic crops on 21 acres of their ancestral land located in Western Maharashtra, Satara district near Mahabaleshwar. Their farms coming under the Deccan Plateau and being surrounded by dense trees and huge mountains has highly fertile soil rich in nutrients.

From the last ten years they have been cultivating all their crops completely eco friendly using ancient method of organic farming without using any chemical fertilizers and pesticides. They sold their products in wholesale to the local markets. In 2018 , consulting with expertise and through experienced guidance they came up with the idea of launching their own brand which would give a wider platform to their products making it possible for even urban people to have a healthy, chemical free meal.

From the past three years they have been testing their soil and water used for farming through government authorities. Their products have been tested for their nutritional values in government laboratories and have thus achieved the following certifications.

They are also trying to persuade other local farmers and convince them to choose organic method of farming thus helping them to increase their economic condition. They have been successfully guiding farmers on this path.
